      <title>Sea Tow celebrates 25th Anniversary</title>
      <link>http://www.carwreck.com/weblog/archives/000286.html</link>
      <description>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sea Tow Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Company Poised for Strategic Growth

Southold, N.Y., February 12, 2008 – Sea Tow today announced the celebration of its 25th year as the nation’s leading international marine assistance provider.

According to Capt. Joe Frohnhoefer, Sea Tow founder and CEO, “Having grown this company from an entrepreneurial dream to an international franchise organization, with flourishing businesses in the United States, Australia and Europe, we feel both tremendous pride and an overwhelming sense of responsibility to our franchise network and to the recreational boaters we serve, to mark this anniversary with some very significant moves toward continued growth and expansion.”

Among those moves is the complete re-launch of the company’s membership magazine, Lifelines, which, with a circulation of nearly 175,000, is among the largest publications in the marine industry. The newly-designed publication is a direct reflection of the requests and recommendations of its readers, per the company’s annual membership survey issued late last year. The new format will be unveiled at the 2008 Miami Boat Show.

Additionally, the company last week concluded its week-long annual meeting, the theme of which was “Defining the Future.” In his opening address to the nearly 200 attendees, President Keith Cummings announced that, despite fuel costs, water access issues and a flailing economy, Sea Tow experienced nearly 8% growth over the prior year, while significantly expanding its suite of member-only services.

“Despite the current economic environment, both nationally and within the marine industry, we experienced yet another solid year of growth in 2007, and I anticipate that trend to continue well into 2008,” Cummings explained as he unveiled the organization’s plan for capturing a significant portion of the untapped market in 2008 and beyond.

Details of that plan are due for public announcement on or before the middle of March, 2008.

&quot;I mean, it’s crazy, anyone can get a license…anyone! I think all you have to do is friend your local DMV on MySpace and they’ll send you a license nowadays.&quot;</description>
